Teacher's Award
How to Enter:

Teacher can be nominated by submitting the required entry form along with
       an essay. (Up to 350 words.)
Nominator can pick up an entry form from you school or call the Post Quartermaster's Office.
Mail entries to the VFW, or you can drop it by our offices. (Should include)
      entry form
      nominator's esay
      original Teacher’s one page resume (no more than two sides).
      Up to five pages (both sides) of documentation such as news articles or
              supervisors recommendations.
      Good quality head and shoulders photo of the teacher.

VFW launched the National Citizenship Education Teacher Award in 1999 to recognize classroom teachers for promoting citizenship education with their students.

Each National award teacher winner and his/her school receives
$1,000 Past Commander-in-Chief John Smart award and a plaque.
