What it took to achieve All State

The 2006-07 All-State Post Commanders and Post Quartermasters contest is calculated without regard to Divisions. It is designed to recognize Texas VFW Posts who participate fully in all VFW programs.

What winners receive: All-State Post Commanders
and All-State Post Quartermasters will receive the following incentives at the State Convention: a distinctive All-State cap, a lapel pin, a plaque, two tickets to the State Convention Awards Banquet, and $250 expense money, (but only if attending and participating in the entire State Convention).
Note: All-American Post Commanders will be determined by a contest determined at National Headquarters.

All-State Eligibility

102% of Quota: The first critera for to be eligible for All-State Post is to reach one hundred two percent (102%) of membership quota. The 2007-08 membership quotas will be the membership count as reflected on the National Status Report for members reported by your Post on June 30, 2007.
Honor Roll: The second criteria to be eligible for All-State Post is to achieve Honor Roll (see page 7).
Note: Failure to meet deadlines often results in disqualification from Honor Roll.

Buddy Poppy Orders: The third criteria to be eligible for All-State Post is for the Post to order at least 8.5 Buddy Poppies per member (see page 6).
Send in the Form: The fourth critera to be eligible for All-State Post is to complete and submit the All-State Post Entry Form (see page 10) to Department by May 23, 2008.

Calculating All-State Winners

Highest Point Total: After meeting all the eligibility
requirements, the twenty-five (25) qualifying Posts with the highest points based on participation in the programs as outlined below will be recognized as All-State Posts for 2007-08.

Tie Breaker: When a tie on points total occurs, the Post with the highest percentage of membership quota, based on National membership figures will be designated as the winner. Remember, MIP members do NOT count in State level contests.
