COMMANDER CENTRAL
Thank You to our new slate of officer, your participation in our Post is vital. We will have the Installation of our remaining Officers on June 13, 2007 during our General Membership Meeting. We apologize for the miscommunication for the original Installation which was held May 21. Thank you to Jerry Yocom, Ron Martin, and Glenn Heady for coming out and installing the few officers that made it. Ladies your installation looked good.
I would like to remind everyone about our Tuesday Night Dinner and Dance, we voted to move this to Saturday a few months ago but due to unforeseen events we vote to keep it on Tuesday the next meeting. Volunteers are always welcome to come out and show off your cooking skills, just stop by the Quartermaster’s office to get on the cooks list for an upcoming Tuesday. We are rotating our singers so be sure and check out the calendar and come see your old favorites or scout out the new talent! Every 3rd Tuesday of each month we have a Pot Luck Meal come out and join us.
Thank you to all who put out flags to honor our departed comrades. I know their families appreciate the honor you gave these soldiers. Special Thanks to Eddie and Mona Talbert and June Bigham for feeding our volunteers after the Saturday cemetery visits. After walking for miles a meal hit the spot.

CHAPLAIN’S CORNER
God gives each soldier a Devine Guidance as he goes in to a combat zone. He prepares you to defend yourself against the enemy. God wants you to know it is ok to response when someone is trying to take your life. I would like to personally thank RB Shiflet who spoke with me and other soldiers leaving Mineral Wells and all Pastors who counsel our men and women as they go off to fight for freedom.
Psalm 144:1
Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
Thank you and May God Bless, Chaplain Walter Choate
