House Committee Rules – proposed amendments are posted on the bulletin board in the Canteen. These will be voted on at our General Meeting, August 9, 2007.

UPCOMING ELECTIONS
Election of Post 3rd Year House Committee member was postponed due to District Officers in attendance at our July Meeting. Election will be held at our Meeting on August 9, 2007.
Election of Ladies Auxiliary Trustee will be held at our Meeting on August 9, 2007.

CHAPLAIN’S CORNER
Heavenly Father:
Thank you for the many blessings you have given us and for the freedom that we enjoy.
Thank you Father for the many times we have had together. Father grant us the wisdom
to serve in your light. To serve one another and our community according to thy will. Give us strength to serve one another so that when our time comes we may be able to perform
our duties as servants. So when we are called to do our part we will answer the call and
fill in where we are needed.
Glory be to thy name, we pray in Christ Jesus

Ladies Auxiliary
I would like to thank all the volunteers for the 4th of July Catfish Meal. Congratulations to Michelle Kelly who is our new guard. I encourage all Ladies Auxiliary Members to attend the August 9th meeting we will be electing a new Trustee, your vote counts!

 FROM THE COMMANDER’S DESK
The results from our July 21st work day can be seen when you drive up to our Post. We put new covers over a few of the windows (all windows are in the process of being covered), trimmed the hedges, and was rewarded with a Steak Lunch. We had 1 Men’s Auxiliary Member, 2 Ladies Auxiliary Members, and 5 Post Members present I would like to take this time to say Thank You to those volunteers. A Special Thanks goes to Troy Stone and his family for coming and helping out! For those of you that might not know Troy is our singer every Tuesday Night after our Tuesday Night Dinner, he is not a member of the Post on paper but his time definitely makes him and his family a honorary member. We are still in need of a Tuesday Night Cook for the 4th Tuesday of each month. Some of our regular cooks are getting tired and need a break from time to time. If you would like to cook every so often but not be on the regular schedule just let me know and we can schedule you for a Tuesday Night and give one of the other Cooks a much needed break.
I would like to remind everyone that our Past Commander Walter Choate will be traveling to Kansas City to pick up our National Awards in August. These awards were achieved during this past year along with All State and All American.
I encourage all members of the Post to utilize our Post Home more, this is your place to use. I want to wish a early Happy Birthday to Margie, who’s Birthday is in August.
