 Fishing Joke

Two rednecks had just gone fishing and brought in the largest amount of fish they had ever seen.

One said to the other, "Did you mark the place where the fishing was so good?"

"Yes, I put an X on the side of the boat."

"You idiot. What if we were gonna take a different boat next time?"

CHAPLAIN’S CORNER
Comrades:
I would like to thank everyone that has helped around the post. It is beginning to look like a new building. Everyone has put forth hard time and energy to get it looking better. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but we still need volunteers in the many things yet to be done. We owe it to our veterans to have a post that they can come to and be proud of. We owe it to ourselves to have a post we can come to and be proud of. We owe it to our Lord to work in His light and to give Him thanks for the opportunity to serve Him and our fellow man. It is more than "just a building", to some it is a home away from home.
Our National POW/MIA Remembrance Day was coming up on September 21, 2007. I would encourage anyone who can make this next year to come and be a part of this day of remembrance. Let's make this the biggest turnout for our fellow comrades that deserve this so very much.
As we left no comrade behind in the theaters we served in, left us not leave any comrade behind that needs our help and service.
Chaplain Crites
FROM THE COMMANDER’S DESK
Hello Again Comrades, Sisters, and Brothers:
In September we had our 911 Remembrance Ceremony as well as our POW/MIA Ceremony. Participations by members of all auxiliaries as well as of the VFW was terrible. In these ceremonies we honor our veterans and active duty personnel, as well as our POW’s/MIA’s and civilian heroes. As members of this organization we should all show our colors. These things are the reason that the VFW, as well as all other veterans groups exist. We need to think about Our Country and we must not and will not ever forget those that have sacrificed so much, many their lives, so that we can live as we do. Please, think about these things as we all owe a debt to those who have served this Great Country.
Thanksgiving is only two months away and we must start planning our Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. Please, plan ahead with your schedules and  plan to help with this project.
Our All American and All State T-shirts or Polo Shirts can be ordered from Jane’t or in the Canteen. We will make our first order on or about October 4th. If your want one, please, order your now.
Our next meeting is October 11th, at 7:30 pm. Please, try to attend.
Commander
Lamar Crounse
